As a PhD student you will take 60 credits (ECTs) of courses. 7.5 of these credits are mandatory to take as GTS courses , but doctoral students have a guarantee to take additional GTS courses up to a total of 15 credits, if desired. The remaining credits are related to your research studies. Those credits can be obtained by taking Master or PhD courses at Chalmers, but can also be obtained in summer schools or courses in other universities. Your examiner validates those credits.
Most master courses can be found by searching the name of the course or/and provide the course code here:
To help you in the process of finding interesting courses, we have compiled data of courses taken by previous PhD students at Physics. Along with the course-specific information including course names, number of credits (ECTS), course type, examiner, department at which the course is given and the course code, we also provide reviews from previous PhD students.
